A pledge

It is extremely disheartening learning about Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide. It came as a complete shock to us all.
He not only left the world, but left something behind for each of us - a thought to ponder upon the mental health awareness in the nation.

Money and fame doesn't mean the person is leading a happy peaceful life.

A person undergoing a psycho therapy is automatically considered as a "crazy person". This brings shame to the person suffering. Do we even realize that there must be number of people who are scared to seek help just because they are afraid of being judged by the "sane people". We are all at fault. We as a society are responsible for making these people suffer more. The mentality needs to change.

Depression, anxiety, panic attacks, etc are NOT to be taken lightly. "Sleep over it. You'll feel fine in the morning" - is NOT the solution for it.

Age, gender, profession, status, fame are NOT the parameters to judge if a person is allowed to be "crazy" or "sane".

Even things happening on daily basis which we ignore like Friends roasting friend, parents imposing on their kids, the rat race to prove we are better than others may lead to frustration, depression, anxiety, inferiority complex.

These are serious issues that needs to be brought to light.

For anyone who is suffering ,please please please seek for help. There is nothing to be ashamed of it. Go to your near and dear ones , we promise to give a helping hand. We promise we won't be ignorant. If you need professional help,  please seek it. We promise we won't judge.

Mental health awareness is the need of the hour, it shouldn't be considered a taboo anymore. It's high time we take steps for it.

Let us all pledge to be there for the ones who need us and for once be good listeners.

Certainty

Stand in the darkness yearning for light, Take a few steps forward, swallowed by fright Keep moving on with all your might Oh what I see—is it a ray of light? Run FAST. End this despair. Light warming me as I get there. One more step and I will be out, Body freezes as my heart shouts   “Why can’t I escape?” I hear darkness whisper: You call me comfort, I call it certainty. The light may be what you want, but to darkness you cling. -AS

Skybound reflections

I am sitting in my life-size window, holding a cup of coffee in my hands and gazing at the beautiful sky. The two blossom trees across the road seem to smile through their pink flowers. Spring is here. As the setting sun paints the sky with hues of pink and orange, the fluffy clouds glow in the rays of the setting sun. I can't help but think what an amazing artist the universe is. Every day it creates a masterpiece on its vast canvas - the sky. A new day brings with it a new masterpiece, and my mind races with a million questions. Could cloudy sunsets be the universe's way of concealing its art, perhaps out of anxiety on a particular evening? What if the universe is trying to teach us something? Maybe sunsets are the universe's way of telling us that we are capable of creating masterpieces. That every masterpiece w...
